These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of TFC Refugees (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, creating an account, posting content, downloading files, or making a donation, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
Eligibility and children
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. Users under 13 are prohibited from accessing interactive features, registering, submitting information or content, or making donations. By creating an account or using an interactive feature, you represent that you are at least 13. If we learn that a user is under 13, we may immediately disable the account and delete associated personal information as reasonably required by the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act and its implementing rule (“COPPA”). If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the Site only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials and linked Steam account secure, and promptly report unauthorized account use. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Accounts, usernames, permissions, and access are not property and may be limited, renamed, suspended, or terminated to protect the Site or enforce these Terms.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- violate applicable U.S. federal, state, or local law, or encourage unlawful conduct;
- harass, threaten, exploit, impersonate, dox, defraud, or endanger another person;
- post sexual content involving minors or any unlawful, malicious, defamatory, privacy-invasive, or infringing material;
- upload malware, corrupted files, credential stealers, or code intended to damage, monitor, or gain unauthorized access to systems or users;
- spam, scrape, overload, reverse engineer, bypass security or access controls, evade moderation, or interfere with Site operation;
- misrepresent authorship, ownership, file safety, or the source of maps, modifications, videos, tutorials, or other submissions; or
- use Site content or personal information to train datasets, profile users, send unsolicited messages, or conduct commercial activity without permission.
User content and license
You retain any ownership rights you have in content you submit. You represent that you own or have permission to submit it and that its hosting and distribution do not violate law or third-party rights. By submitting content, you grant the Site a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, adapt for technical presentation, display, distribute, and make the content available through the Site and its archives. This license lasts while the content is hosted and for a reasonable backup or archival period after removal. You are responsible for keeping your own copies.
Community moderation
Posts, uploads, nickname changes, and other material may require approval. We may edit metadata, move, reject, hide, lock, or remove content and may warn, restrict, suspend, or ban users when reasonably necessary. Moderation decisions are discretionary and do not create an obligation to monitor all content. Report suspected violations through the available reporting or contact tools.
Downloads and third-party content
Files, videos, maps, links, game-server information, and user submissions may come from community members or third parties. We do not guarantee their accuracy, ownership, compatibility, availability, or safety. Scan downloads, maintain backups, and use them at your own risk. Third-party services and websites have separate terms and policies, and the Site is not responsible for them.
Copyright and other rights
Do not submit content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights. A rights holder may send a notice through the contact page identifying the protected work, the material and its location, contact information, a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and the sender is authorized to act, and a physical or electronic signature. We may remove challenged material and take action against repeat infringers consistent with applicable U.S. law.
Donations
Donations support the community and are not purchases of ownership, moderation influence, guaranteed access, or services unless expressly stated. Stripe or PayPal processes eligible payments under its own terms. Except where required by law or expressly offered, donations are non-refundable. Contact us promptly about errors or unauthorized transactions.
Site availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or restrict any Site feature or content at any time. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, permanent storage, backward compatibility, or continued availability of any account, download, link, integration, or service.
Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, SECURITY, OR ACCURACY. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some exclusions may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SITE’S OPERATORS, ADMINISTRATORS, AND CONTRIBUTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR USE, OR DAMAGE ARISING FROM DOWNLOADS, THIRD-PARTY SERVICES, UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, OR SITE INTERRUPTION. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Site’s operators and administrators from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Site, or your violation of these Terms or another person’s rights.
U.S. law
The Site is operated in the United States. You must comply with applicable U.S. federal law and the state and local laws that apply to you and the Site operator. These Terms do not waive rights or protections that cannot be waived under applicable law. Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact us and make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally, except where emergency or injunctive relief is appropriate.
Termination
You may stop using the Site at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for a Terms violation, legal or security risk, prolonged inactivity, or discontinuation of the Site. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including licenses already needed for hosted or archived content, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions—survive termination.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Site or law. The date above identifies the latest revision. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. Questions may be sent through the contact page.
